2025-26 Academic Year Exhibition Calendar
2025 UMES Fine Arts Department Faculty Exhibition
August 27 – October 31
Reception: August 27, 4:30 pm
This exhibition highlights the works of UMES faculty members in the fine arts department: Collin Byrd, Jesse Halpern, Cristopher Harrington, Elvin Hernandez, Brad Hudson, Mehves Lelic, Kaylee Rose, Ernie Satchell (emeritus), Salih Zeki Sayar, Murat Sener, and William Newman-Wise. Presenting the diverse interests and artistic output of the department’s faculty, the exhibition includes painting, drawing, printmaking, digital art, ceramics, and photography works.
2025-26 Lower Shore High School Exhibition
November 6 – November 25
Reception: November 6, 4:30-6 pm
In partnership with art teachers from Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset County High Schools, this exhibition celebrates the budding talent of young artists in the Lower Shore and provides promising students with cash awards as well as an opportunity to explore studying art at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Fall 2025 Senior Thesis Exhibition: Fennec Miller, Shenia Clay, Simone Dixon
December 3 – December 13
Reception: December 3, 4:30-6 pm
This exhibition serves as the capstone project for the Fine Arts Department’s graduating seniors from the Graphic Illustration, Sequential Arts, and Commercial Photography programs, and introduces them to the campus and Somerset County community.

2026 Juried Student Exhibition
February 6 - 20, 2024
Reception and Awards: Thursday, February 6, 4:30 – 6 pm
This campus-wide juried exhibition showcases the talent of visual artists and awards tuition scholarships to the top three award winners. With rapidly-developing mastery, the students explore contemporary subjects, from our ever-connected world, to the complexities young adults are facing in society. The exhibition celebrates their career trajectory and promise.
